Weather is unpredictable
It Is always cooler on the water. Make sure to bring clothes for warm and cold tempertures:
We recommend you bring the following:
- Sunglasses
- Hat
- Sunblock
- Rain Gear - a great item to use as a wind breaker for cool days, even with no sign of rain!
- Any medication you are taking or think you may need.
- Soft sole shoes have better traction on boat surfaces, white soled shoes would be preferred.
- Sea sickness pills (optional). We will have motion sickness pills, but feel free to bring the brand that you know works for you.
- Camera or Cell Phone - Please be carefully that they don't go overboard.
- DON'T FORGET YOUR FISHING LICENSE - All Species for trout and salmon is required. You can purchase a daily license for $7.00 at some retailers or on the Michigan DNR website. ( click here to get license online )
- Cooler to take your catch home in, fish are cleaned / filleted free of charge.
- YOUTH - I encourage you to bring your youngsters. It's great fishing experience that they will remember for years to come. Life Jackets are mandatory for children 8 and under. I recommend that if they have their own to bring them along. I do have necessary Commercial Type 1 Life Preservers for them, however they are bulky and may be uncomfortable.
